ISCEBS Fellow Emeritus status allows current Fellows who maintain active and good standing with the ISCEBS to continue to use their Fellow designation after they retire from the benefits profession without having to continue taking the Fellow exam.
Emeritus status will be granted upon review by the ISCEBS staff where the Fellow has:
- Been a Fellow in good standing for each of the previous 10 years
- Reached age 60 or older
- Retires from the benefits profession, which includes any and all work related to consulting, private and public-sector benefits work, and/or lecturing part-time at a college or university
- Continues to maintain their ISCEBS membership, including all financial obligations associated with membership.
ISCEBS Fellows awarded the Emeritus status who later decide to re-enter the benefits profession will have the Emeritus status removed and will have to retake the qualifying CE exam.
ISCEBS staff shall review, determine and grant Fellow Emeritus status at its sole discretion.
Any Fellow granted Emeritus status will receive recognition in the roll of Emeritus Fellows, entitlement to use a special Emeritus Fellow logo, and entitlement to the rights and benefits associated with the ISCEBS Fellowship designation.
