CEBS graduates can use Symposium sessions to earn CEBS Compliance credit. Each 50-minute hour of education qualifies for 1 credit of compliance. The $25 service fee to report credit for other professions does not apply. Visit www.cebs.org/compliance for more information. 

The 2022 Symposium qualifies for up to 19 CEBS Compliance credits.

Insurance Professionals

If you would like to earn insurance credit for your Symposium attendance, please make sure credit is requested no later than June 1. If it is not listed as pending below, no request will be made to the state for approval.

CIMA® and CPWA®

Investments and Wealth Institute® has accepted the 2019 Annual Employee Benefits Symposium for 16.5 hours of CE credit.

Information for the 2023 Symposium will be posted if it is requested by a registrant.

HRCI

The 2022 ISCEBS Symposium was approved for a maximum of 16.0 HR (General) recertification credit hours toward a PHR™, PHR®, PHRca®, SPHR®, GPHR®, PHRi™ and SPHRi™ recertification through HR Certification Institute® (HRCI®). All sessions were approved.  If you attend the following sessions you earn specialized credit:

  • Canada Legal and Legislative Update – Earns Global Credit
  • Economic Outlook in Today's World – Earns Business Credit
  • Global Benefits – Challenges and Opportunities – Earns Global Credit

SHRM

The International Society is a preferred provider with SHRM. The 2022 Symposium was approved for 16.0 PDCs; you may use this credit towards your CP and SCP designations.

CPA

ISCEBS is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.

In accordance with the standards of the National Registry of CPE sponsors, CPE credits will be granted based on a 50-minute hour.

CFP

CFP® (United States)

The International Society is registered with the CFP Board as a sponsor of continuing education (Sponsor ID 286).

CFP®  (Canada)

CFP Professionals are required to attest to the completion of their CE requirements for the calendar year specified on the annual Application for Financial Planning Standards Council™ (FPSC) License Renewal Form. 

Attendees requesting credit for CFP Canada may submit on-site attendance slips to receive a CE certificate to use to report credit.

Attorneys

State CLE credit approvals are based upon requests for credit received on registration and CE attendance forms. 
The 2018 Symposium qualified for a maximum of 960 minutes of MCLE instruction.

Canadian Insurance Professionals

Life insurance agents can earn credit in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, and Saskatchewan. 

The 2022 Symposium will be submitted to the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) as requests are made.

The Manitoba Insurance Council approved the 2019 Symposium for 16 Life and/or A&S education hours.

The Alberta Insurance Council accredited the 2019 Symposium for 16 Life, and 16 Accident & Sickness continuing education hours.

Information for the 2023 Symposium will be posted if it is requested by a registrant.
