What his peers say:

Mike has been an incredible contributor to the CEBS program and to the International Society. He has served as a mentor to countless individuals pursuing a career in benefits, many of whom have earned the CEBS designation. He has attended every Symposium and, even more remarkably, every session (except for one). He epitomizes what a true benefits professional should be—ethical, approachable and knowledgeable. He conveys an interest in every individu-al he encounters and has a tremendous sense of humor.

What her peers say:

From early Society leadership, tireless promotion of CEBS and continued dedication to the education of CEBS graduates, nobody matches Katherine’s contribution. Not only has she attended every Symposium since its beginning, but she presents the annual U.S. Legal Update and followup workshop. Following each session, she is engulfed with questions, and she takes time to courteously answer each one.

Most incredibly, given her extensive workload, she has always made time for her friends and associates.

What his peers say:

John was one of the most selfless people I have ever known. He was always willing to give time and talent to his industry, school and community—not just as a member, but as an active participant.

His selfless sharing of his deep knowledge embodies the CEBS program. His contributions to ISCEBS are numerous but are perhaps best exemplified in how much he shared on the ISCEBS Listserv. It seemed that no matter the topic, you could count on John to pitch in with a thorough, thoughtful and insightful response—a response that usually left you in awe. John was also a warm and supportive colleague who always energized me whenever I would run into him at the Symposium or other events.

What her peers say:

Mary has been so engaged in the CEBS program since its early days. She has been a great teacher to many of us in the chapter and to even more around the country as an online instructor. She holds herself and all of us to very high standards of excellence and integrity and makes us all better professionals and people as a result of her passion and commitment to the industry.

Mary is a well-known benefits expert and resource for her clients and the rest of us in the benefits community. She is often my first call for help if I have a question or want to bounce an idea off someone. I often see people come up to her locally and at the Symposium to say ‘You were my instructor’ and tell her how much they appreciated her teaching and the impact on their careers. She helps make complex benefits ideas more manageable and enjoys sharing her enthusiasm.

What his peers say:

He has been a passionate advocate of the CEBS designation and the Society for his entire career. He encouraged many people to pursue the designation and become involved in the Society, including me.

Dave has been a thought leader and an innovator in the employee benefits field. His accomplishments include a number of notable early adoptions of ground breaking benefit changes. One notable accomplishment during his year as president of the ISCEBS is the special recognition luncheon and gift for ISCEBS Fellows at the Symposium. This was done to encourage ISCEBS members to focus on continuous learning in the benefits field. Dave currently maintains his Fellowship status, in part, as a role model for others.

What her peers say:

She is a true champion of the CEBS program and promotes the Twin Cities educational luncheons to at least 100 clients every month. Deb has been a terrific resource and help to me (and others) always responsive and eager to assist.

Deb has been involved with the Twin Cities Chapter since its inception. And by "involved" I mean in every sense of the word. She did not reduce her involvement after her formal time on the Board, which unfortunately is often the case. Instead she has chaired the Board's Education Committee, whose responsibility it is to coordinate monthly educational luncheons, for many years. She routinely volunteers to take on additional tasks and projects, and always provides thoughtful guidance to board members. The most important thing to know about Deb is that she doesn't do these things because her employer asked her to, because she thinks it will look good on her resume, or because it's another bucket list item to be checked. She does it because she truly cares.
