GLP-1 medications were originally developed to treat Type 2 diabetes but now are widely used for weight management.  Because of this, GLP-1 medications have rapidly emerged as a high-cost driver in employer-sponsored health plans. With growing demand from employees and aggressive direct-to-consumer marketing, employers face difficult questions such as,

     (a) How do we manage rising costs without ignoring legitimate clinical needs? Or

     (b) How can we support employee well-being while ensuring long-term sustainability of our benefit strategy?

This session is designed specifically for employers and HR/benefits leaders who want to understand the full picture behind the GLP-1 trend including clinical, financial, and cultural. We’ll break down the data and discuss approaches to navigate this evolving landscape.
