Please join the Carolinas Chapter of ISCEBS on Tuesday, September 23rd for a webinar "Leave and Accommodation Law Updates" at 12:00 PM EST. Our speaker is Abigail O'Connell, AVP & Senior Counsel, Sun Life.

This session will include recent developments related to the federal Family and Medical leave Act and Americans with Disabilities Act, followed by an overview of employer obligations under the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act. The interaction between these three employment laws will also be explored.

Learning objectives:

  • Understand recent leave and accommodation developments including those related to recent Executive Orders, DOL Opinion Letters, and Case Law.
  • Overview of the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) and employer obligations related to this relatively new federal accommodation law.
  • Learn about the intersection of the PWFA with federal Family and Medical Leave and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
